The Scotsman newspaper is not available in my area.

You are responsible for locating a newspaper in your area. The Scotsman Publications Ltd. are only responsible for supplying you with the vouchers. Why are you doing this?

We operate in an extremely competitive marketplace in terms of newspaper sales and as such we want to reward our loyal readers for their commitment to The Scotsman Publications Limited (TSPL). In common with every other newspaper company, TSPL needs to sell papers in order to generate revenue.

Why are you taking the scotsman.com website away?

We aren't. The changes will affect around 10% of the material on the site. The vast majority of scotsman.com will be unaffected by this move. Although scotsman.com is an extremely fast growing business we are still heavily reliant on the sale of newspapers to generate revenue. We want to reward the loyalty of individuals who make a commitment to buy the paper in the longer term. We are committed to investing in developing news services on scotsman.com.

How do I know on scotsman.com what is free and what is charged for?

Whilst you will still have free access to the majority of the site, we will be charging for access to certain areas - crosswords and games, opinion, comment and analysis PLUS the professional pages, which include Law, Education, Medical Matters, Media & Marketing, Government & Public Affairs and Science.

Will I need to create another login and password?

No, your current scotsman.com Members Centre login (email address + password) will continue to be the method by which you access content on scotsman.com, whether it be free behind the login barrier or premium behind the payment barrier. Once you have subscribed to "scotsman.com Premium", access will continue to be handled by your scotsman.com Members Centre login. If you do not have a scotsman.com Members Centre login then please complete the following form to register.
